Description

Model FTBD2 3Dpecheur with features identical to thestandard coil FTBD1 but designed to support thicker threads for mounting larger flies, streamers and using copper, lead, tinsel, etc. threads.

A word from M@t,
“My 3D models of fly-tying accessories are designed for FDM 3D printing.

They are designed to meet the specific needs of the most demanding fly fishermen...like me! I design, print and test them myself repeatedly in real fly-tying/fly-fishing conditions, until optimal results are achieved.”

Technical Tips for 3D Printing

Filling: 100 %

Tips for cutting software: The printout must be oriented flat. Only the two balls and the thumb disc should touch the platen. A support is then needed to hold the coil support arms and the tube.

Be careful not to place any support inside the tube, as it would be impossible (or very complicated) to remove it.

You can achieve excellent results by adjusting the parameters of your slicer.

For some 3D printers, a support resembling a very fine wire is found inside the tube, despite the software settings. Don't worry, this support can easily be removed with tweezers!

Filament: I again recommend PETG filament, which offers an excellent compromise between hardness and flexibility. The memory effect, although also present with PETG, is much less significant than with PLA.
