Description
I designed this round “Parisian” style handle to replace the original handle of a 40 mm diameter knife gate valve that I lost during a test drive after changing the complete mechanism.
I opted for a simple but highly functional design, with a handle that's easy to pull and push.
The handle is designed for a 6 mm diameter pull rod, with a cut-wire O-ring (broken ring), as on the original rod.
I think this handle will fit the stem of other FAP knife gate valves of different diameters (check your dimensions - pull diameter, presence or absence of a broken ring, etc., before downloading).
The handle not only has a simple thread, but also includes the advanced design including the space needed to lock the wire O-ring. Once tightened, the handle does not rotate around the pull rod and remains completely integrated into the overall mechanism, just like the original handle.
The tightening system of this handle is quite complex and not as simple as it seems.
This handle is an apiobi - PREMIUM design.
Technical Tips for 3D Printing
PETG, ABS, ASA, Carbon Pla or Nylon if possible.
Filling: at least 20 % with wall thickness over 2 mm, otherwise filling to 100 % (recommended).
Downward thread.
20 mm border.
Save time and energy!
This is a technical part that requires your best filament.
PLA will not withstand weathering, sewage splashes, road pollution, etc. for long.
Highly stressed parts for leisure vehicles should be printed in the most resistant materials with a recommended filling of 100%.
PETG is your first choice!
