Our model 3D printable safety joint consists of two precision parts :

1️⃣ Disc with notched lug (Ø 15 mm)

This part passes through the fabric at the joint (arm, leg or head).
The notched stud ensures firm hold and a perfect alignment.

2️⃣ Locking disc (Ø 15 mm)

Positioned inside the toy, this element snaps onto the exposed stud.
Once locked, the joint remains fixed and cannot be removed without breakage, guaranteeing total safety.

❌ Avoid PLA - it can become brittle over time and crack under pressure.
✅ Choose PETG, or use ABS or Nylon for even greater strength and flexibility.

Filling : 100 % for maximum strength and optimum safety.
Orientation:
- Print the pin up, with the disc flat on platter.
- For the locking disc, position it curved side up for the best finish.
Layer height : 0.16 mm, an excellent compromise between precision and printing time with a 0.4 mm nozzle.

These parameters ensure a tight fit, a strong interconnection and smooth assembly - perfect for long-lasting joints.
