Support: no
Materials : The most suitable materials for floating objects are PP and HDPE. PLA and PETG do not actually float, so you’ll need a low-density infill—such as a gyroid pattern—and at least three walls. The STL file includes a floating flower that is 2 mm thick. You’ll have no trouble increasing the thickness in the Z-axis only in your slicer.

For laser cutting
LEVA foam sheets are perfect for this. They come in various thicknesses at very low prices. We use multicolored A4-sized sheets that are 3 mm thick, sold in packs of 10 for €1.79.
