Leading brands of fishing tackle do not hesitate to manufacture accessories molded in rigid plastics (ABS) or more flexible, even supple, to perfectly match the rod's shape.
Thanks to 3D printing, we can achieve equivalent results with’ABS, TPU of nylon or the PETG which I personally prefer and recommend for most of your OUTDOOR equipment.

The thread on this rear support is particularly robust, as is the body of the part.
Printing your own fishing accessories can also cut costs considerably.

Technical Tips for 3D Printing

Filling to 100 % mandatory for the thread and at least 5 mm above, otherwise I really recommend filling to 100 % everywhere.
Layer thickness of 0.12 mm for greater thread accuracy and near-perfect rod glide. As you can see from the photo, 0.2 mm is also perfect.
PETG preferred, ABS, ASA, NYLON.
