This 60 mm diameter dome offers an excellent, safe and comfortable shelter that fits perfectly into an aquarium.

🌿 Tips for a natural aquascaping look

I don't really like the slick look of 3D-printed plastic for aquarium decoration.
To obtain a rendering more natural, wood or coconut, I simply use coarse-grit sandpaper.

Technical Tips for 3D Printing

3D printing recommendations

This dome has been designed for printing with a 0.4 mm nozzle, offering an excellent compromise between precision and printing speed.

Materials :

  • PETG recommended excellent durability, water resistance and adhesion, ideal for aquarium use.
  • The PLA can work, It's less durable and suitable for damp environments. It will disintegrate. For me, it's a no, and PLA often floats.

Layer height / quality :

  • 0.20 mm Some people prefer an ultra-smooth surface, in which case go for a smoother, more even surface. Some people prefer an ultra-smooth surface, in which case go down to ~0.15mm or less. Both are superb!

Tray adhesion :

  • Brim recommended

Based on these settings, you will obtain a dome strong and durable, perfectly suited to your water feature.
