Description

This kit includes 3D models of’inserts designed on the same principle as commercially available metal models, but 3D printable, for a solution economical and practical.

For many repairs and assemblies, a plastic insert is ample and fully functional, while being much more economical, especially when compared to expensive nylon inserts.

Each insert is equipped with small fins (same as brass design) around which the glue can be distributed, which ensures extremely strong, durable mounting.
This design keeps the insert in place firmly in place, even under moderate mechanical stress.

Visit thread tolerances have been carefully adapted for 3D printing, guaranteeing precise fit for M2 to M6 screws.

Technical Tips for 3D Printing

  • Print the model vertical using a brim to improve grip.

  • Compatible materials : PLA+, ABS, ASA, PETG, nylon, carbon fiber composites, depending on your use and the capabilities of your 3D printer.

  • For best results, use high-precision settings. The model shown in the GIF was printed with a 0.12 mm layer height.

  • Adjust the cooling and adhesion parameters depending on the filament used, in order to obtain a clean surface and avoid warping.
