The inserts are designed to be inserted into a pre-drilled hole and then <strong>glued in place<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Each insert is equipped with <strong>small vanes<\/strong> (idem commercial brass models) around the body. The glue can then circulate around these fins and create <strong>very solid mechanical anchoring<\/strong> after drying.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>top washer<\/strong> has two functions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It enables <strong>tap or press the insert into place<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>If you want a perfectly flush surface, <strong>the head can also be cut off once the insert has been installed<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thanks to this insert model, I was able to <strong>repair a damaged thread on the power supply of a (new!) 3D printer<\/strong>.
