Not all of my fishing rods have a built-in lure holder. <\/span><\/span>I've tried many different systems: ones with rubber bands, O-rings, Velcro strips, as well as homemade and store-bought models.<\/span><\/span> None of them are perfect; they are all fragile and do not hold up well to the rigors of itinerant fishing.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So I decided to design a model that meets several criteria: <\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. It must not move, fall, or get lost; ;<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n
  2. It must not damage the rod, and the hook must not scratch the varnish; ;<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n
  3. It should be compact, unobtrusive, and, above all, should not interfere with the line when casting; ;<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Finally, the ring must be wide and sturdy enough to accommodate a single hook or the treble hook on a large pike lure, for example.<\/span><\/span>

    It's done!<\/span><\/span> To secure it firmly to the pole, use a 100 x 2.5 mm clamp.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
