After a few minor corrections, this file will soon be available for download (personal use only). A small series of physical copies will be marketed at <strong>second half of 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From <strong>september 2024<\/strong>, I'm devoting myself to the development of a <strong>new selective trap<\/strong>, for both professional and private customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Design objectives: essential criteria<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In my opinion, a good Asian hornet trap must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1 - Effectively capturing the Asian hornet<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(Yes, that's the basics, even if some people seem to have forgotten).<br>\u27a1 <strong>EFFECTIVE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2 - Prevent the entry or allow the exit of other insects<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bees, butterflies, etc.<br>\u27a1 <strong>SELECTIVE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3 - Shock-resistant<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sturdy inlet\/outlet grilles, robust structure.<br>\u27a1 <strong>SOLID<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4 - Weatherproof<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durable, waterproof materials.<br>\u27a1 <strong>DURABLE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5 - Easy to hang<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Branch, wire mesh, simple rope.<br>\u27a1 <strong>ADAPTABLE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>6 - High capture capacity<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Up to 3 L of hornets (minimum 1 L).<br>\u27a1 <strong>GOOD CAPACITY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>7 - Easy to use<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With equipment found in every home.<br>\u27a1 <strong>ECONOMICS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>8 - No DIY required<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No tools, no additional purchases.<br>\u27a1 <strong>SIMPLE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>9 - Total autonomy<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once baited, it has to \u00abwork\u00bb on its own for several days.<br>\u27a1 <strong>AUTONOMOUS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>10 - Protecting accidentally-entered bees<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to an innovative separation module that makes the bait inaccessible.<br>\u27a1 <strong>INNOVATIVE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Finalized prototype: already very promising results<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The trap has now been designed, and the tests carried out in my orchard at the end of the 2024 season have been successful. <strong>excellent<\/strong>.
